The Botesdale and Rickinghall Runners is a new running group that meets Thursday evenings at Rickinghall Village Hall from 7pm-8pm. We welcome runners of all abilities from complete beginners to accomplished marathon runners.
Welcome to Botesdale and Rickinghall Runners! If you would like to run with likeminded people, come and join us!
We are a friendly group who enjoy running together and want to get fitter and faster.
We alternate the plan each week, with one week being a training session on the Rec (interval, fartlek etc) and the other week being a group run. This is either 2 or 4 miles with a run leader at the front and rear. We encourage faster runners to loop back so that they can maintain a pace that will challenge, and so that beginners can walk/run and stay with the group.
As long as you are age 18 or over, why not come along and join us?
We are affiliated to the Association of Running Clubs.
Joining: please complete the registration form before attending a meeting (no cost for first 3 meetings)
You can join us for 3 sessions for free when you first attend. The annual cost will then be £18 per year (financial year, so this year is short. This is how the insurance works)
Beginners or casual runners can go for a shorter run, most of our routes are in two sections, or try the longer run taken at a slow pace. Walk/running is also ok!
You can simply run for the fun of it, or aim to improve your running.
We aim to do a 6k run together on group run meeting nights, with training on alternate weeks.
See the calendar for details.
If you are aware of any local event that might interest other members please let us know and we will add it here.
